The Summer English Program

 

About the Program:

Each summer Oasis hosts a Summer English Program for students who are highly motivated to learn English. The program typically runs from the 2nd week of July through the 1st week of August. In addition to teaching English, there are opportunities to teach/coach sports such as basketball and softball; assist with a youth center/coffee bar; and to do crafts, music, and other activities with students. Teaching experience is helpful, but not necessary. Job assignments will be given with consideration of personality, experience, and preference.

The Summer Program is required for all incoming Grade 1 students, as well as students who have been invited to Grade 2.

 

The Next Opportunity:

For the teachers coming, the next Summer Program will be July 5 to August 3, 2010.

Incoming Grade 1 students and students invited to Grade 2 are expected to be in Pingliang for the Summer Program from July 12 to July 30, 2010.
