Location of Oasis Training Center

Oasis Training Center is located in the city of Pingliang, Gansu Province in the northwest region of the People’s Republic of China. Nestled along the Jinghe River in a winding valley at the base of Kongtong Mountain, Pingliang is found in the eastern part of Gansu and is said to be a gateway westward along the old Silk Road from Xi’an. Pingliang has a long history as a strategically important city.

Pingliang saw very few foreigners until the Oasis Center began operation in 2002. While the city is well developed, and is undergoing significant new construction, it has retained its small town charm. The surrounding area is agricultural. The city is filled with small outdoor vendors and bustling markets as surrounding area residents come to the city for trade.

Oasis is located on a main thoroughfare, on the campus of Pingliang Industrial Vocational School, which has graciously partnered with Oasis to provide local connections and classroom space on their school campus.
