Oasis Activity Center

The Oasis is a youth center at which we hold activities every Friday night during the School Year.  These activities are available to, but not required for, our OTC students, and also for others in the community who wish to practice their English.  We offer it, in a sense, as an English Corner. 

This time with the students in a non-class setting is remarkable for building relationships and interacting one-on-one.  It’s a great time for fun, relaxing with the students, and seeing them laugh like you never will in class. 

During the regular Summer Program, the Oasis is open every evening, Monday through Friday, for the Summer Program participants.

Activities that we have done in the past are movie nights, scavenger hunts, Ping-Pong tournaments, games at every table, and girls’ nights and guys’ nights.  Occasionally we will have an Oasis activity at Liu Hu Park or another location.
